Our Story
The regrind industry used to be all touch and feel. You had manual grinders who did it by hand. Over time the need for tighter tolerance’s has increased as manufactures have required more precise regrinding processes.
We were one of the first to adopt CNC tool and cutter grinding, and commit to the higher quality standards. This solidified our commitment to accurate, repeatable, and scalable sharpening programs.
Inspection Innovations
The addition of the Zoller Genius machine allows us to precisely reverse engineer the geometry of any new tools that need to be sharpened. This allows us with 200 times magnification to get a precise sharpening plan in place to inspect the tools before and after.
The next challenge we faced was proper tracking of the large volume of tools coming in and out of our shop. The cobalt laser machine etches unique customer data on each tool. This prevents the loss or mix up of tools as they pass between the customer, the grind shop, and the coating supplier and effectively track the entire journey of the sharpened tool. This ensure the products are tracked and returned exactly as they are sent.
The Perfect Finish
Traditionally the edge of a sharpened tool was removed through manually buffing and this process differed by operator. The addition of the automated edge prep machine removes the human error associated with finishing the sharpening process. With the automated edge prep, your tools are finished with precise consistency across the board.
Your vendor may not have changed, but the tools, training and requirements have. We are constantly looking ahead and are early adopters of new technologies. If you are an innovator in your market, you need a regrind partner that innovates with you.
